This painting was inspired by a vivid dream that later became part of my own life. In the dream, a young woman stood before a burning castle, leaving behind everything she had known and stepping towards an uncertain future.
Years later, that vision became reality when I was forced to leave my home because of the war in Ukraine. What once existed only in a dream transformed into a personal journey of loss, resilience, and hope.
The winding path symbolises the courage to move forward, while the burning castle represents the life left behind. The bright yellow dress becomes a quiet symbol of hope, reminding us that even after profound change, light can still guide us towards a new beginning.
